Meek Mill thinks its unfortunate Trick Daddy went on Instagram to air his grievances.
In case you missed it, Trick Daddy didn’t take the words of Meek Mill too kindly last week when he dissed his hometown of Miami during an interview on Hot 97. Trick took to social media in a clip & asked for a public apology from Meek to him & his city. "Miami n---as are not followers... Don't use my city or my n---as for character references," Trick says in a video addressed to Meek. "I will get out of character. Do not fuck with me. Dirt bikes, Cuban links, and Yachts? We cocaine cowboys, n---a."
Since Trick Daddy made these remarks, fans have been eagerly waiting for Meek’s rebuttal, and we now have it. On Tuesday, the MMG rapper paid a visit by the Cosmic Kev show on Power 99 & was asked about the situation. Meek's reply? He says its unfortunate that Trick Daddy went on social media to air his grievance rather than come to Meek directly to talk it out.
“I come from Philadelphia, all our OGs, they don’t get on Instagram where we’re from. If they wanna say something to somebody, they get in contact with them and say it, especially when it’s that type of level of anger,” said the Wins & Losses rapper. “This goes out to everyone in the rap industry, from hereon till a thousand years, I will always be handled with respect in live person. That's just that."
In addition to that, Meek also addressed his past issues with Drake and taking an “L” with his breakup with Nicki Minaj. Watch all that & more in the 28-minute interview (below). Fast forward to the 9:45 mark to hear Meek’s Trick Daddy response. And while you’re at it, check out recent feature on Meek right here, looking at his resiliency over the years.
