Marvel's Spider-Man launched last month, and the billion-dollar comic book company has another hit on their hands. The critically acclaimed video game functions much like Iron-Man did for the MCU to originate a combined universe. Marvel plans on expanding their video gaming universe, using Spidey as their anchor, and it makes sense why. According to Variety, Marvel's Spider-Man was the best-selling game of September, broke the record for the highest launch sales for any PlayStation exclusive in history, and is the seventh largest launch ever achieved by any game on any PlayStation console.
Research group NPD delivered the amazing stats, which also reveals that Marvel's Spider-Man accumulated launch month sales 37% higher than the combined launch month sales of every single other Spider-Man game since the company began tracking in 1995. The company also released a table of the top twenty best selling video games for the month of September, which are listed below.
