Thanks to Francis and The Lights "May I Have This Dance."

Chance The Rapper's been doing some thing many may find unimaginable. As an independent artist, he's helped pave the way for younger, budding stars and shown that it's not necessary to have a major label backing you in order to be a mainstream success. Today, he adds another accomplishment to his list.

In a report from Billboard, Chance The Rapper has now debuted on the Billboard's Rock Airplay charts with Francis and The Lights. The two of them have collaborated in the past but this time, it's for his work on Francis' "May I Have This Dance." This also marks the first time Francis and the Lights have hit the Billboardw. The single has reached number 48 on the charts for the week of October 28th. The song originally appeared on Francis' album Farewell, Starlite! in 2016 and got more life pumped into the record after Chance hopped on the remix. After that, the song was promoted to the radio. According to their report, the song has since received 1.1 million audience impressions by the time of October 15th. It's quite the accomplishment for both artists.

In addition to this, it's been a pretty good week for Chance. A few days a go, he hit Twitter to share an emotional moment once he received his Grammy awards. The rapper shared a two part video of him and his daughter, Kensli, opening up the three awards he received for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance for "No Problems" featuring 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne and Best New Artist. Despite the fact that he never sold a single record in his career, he marked a major feat and celebrated the moment with his daughter who had a heavy influence on his last record, Coloring Book

Prior to that, he also shared that he'd be heavily involved in the Obama Foundation Summit Concert. The rapper will not only be headlining the ceremony but will also be in charge of the event's creative design.

Needless to say, 2017's treated Chance The Rapper very well.
