For a third consecutive week, Black Panther: The Album has topped the Billboard 200. The Kendrick Lamar and Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith-curated project has earned the top spot once again with 76,000 equivalent album units, 15,000 of which in traditional sales. This is the first time a soundtrack has logged at least three weeks at No. 1 since the Frozen topped the charts for 13 nonconsecutive weeks in 2014. The Black Panther film has also enjoyed continued success over the last 3 weeks. It topped $1 billion worldwide as of Saturday.
Meanwhile, Tory Lanez' sophomore album Memories Don't Die comes in at No. 3 with 54,000 equivalent album units, 15,000 of the figure coming through in pure sales. This is Tory's highest sales week yet, surpassing his debut I Told You, which launched at No. 4 with 52,000 equivalent album units.
Migos' Culture II, released in January, fell to No. 4 this week with 52,000 equivalent album units moved. Post Malone's 2015 album STONEY is up one notch to No. 6 with 35,000 units.
