Just days after starting beef with Cardi B, Azealia Banks is retracing her steps and apologizing to Nicki Minaj for any drama she's started.
Taking it to Instagram this time, Azealia DM'd Nicki in a lengthy novel detailing why she's so apologetic, saying she will never be "catty" towards her again.
“Hey, I’m not sure if you will see this but I wanted to apologise for whatever catty shit I’ve said to and or about you in the past I really do enjoy your artistry and think you’re so intelligent and clever,” she said. “You have a really brilliant art mind and often times remind me a lot of myself.”
Azealia then brings up working with Nicki's ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, saying it wasn't to spite the "Anaconda" rapper, but more because she saw the success Nicki has right now, and figured Safaree played a major role in that.
“You have my word, that from here on out, I will never say any negative or catty things about you ever again,” Banks promised. “Inside of all of us there’s a little black girl who cries and the last thing I want to see is that little black girl cry.”
Nicki hit Azealia back with a simple response that seems like they are now on good terms.
“You’re very talented & very smart,” she said. “Focus on what really matters from now on.”
Azealia was clearly surprised by Nicki responding at all, because see captioned the screenshot of the images saying, "Not gonna lie, I cried a bit when she responded."
We reported that Nicki Minaj revealed details on her highly anticipated upcoming album.
"I’m going to go even deeper than I went with The Pinkprint, because I have a lot to talk about. Why not?" she said, adding, "This era will be a billion times more epic than anything 'Anaconda' could have delivered," Nicki said. "I think this era will definitely be the most memorable and the most impactful of my career yet."
