News <p>Russell Simmons ran into a little trouble with Bill Cosby, during the Jackie Robinson Foundation gala last week, resulting in a not-so-nice exchange riddled with expletives.<br />

Simmons, who presented Sean "Diddy" Combs with the night's Man of the Year Award, approached the legendary comedian, and host of the event, to apologize for unflattering comments he made during his State of Emergency: Hip-Hop campaign last November, as well as to say "I love you."<br />

News <p>After serving less than half of his 90-day sentence, DMX has been released from a Los Angeles prison. The Yonkers native was freed Thursday (Aug. 12) afternoon after serving only 18 days behind bars for a probation violation, stemming from a 2002 reckless driving conviction. X turned himself in late July after his release from an Arizona prison where he had just served six months behind bars for violating parole with substance abuse.<br />

News <p>DJ Funkmaster Flex had a very special guest for the launch of his website, as incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne made his first phone interview, calling in from Rikers Island where he is serving a sentence for criminal possession.</p>
<p>When asked what music he's listening to, Weezy regretfully admitted that he doesn't listen to music there because he is incapable of listening to himself, which is what he usually does. Instead, he listens to sports or "I listen to my thoughts," he said. He aspires to record with either Andre 3000 or Tech N9ne in the near future.</p>
