The news follows the debut of a collaboration between the three artists at Governor's Ball.

SZA is working on an album with Tame Impala's Kevin Parker and Mark Ronson, as revealed in a new interview with The Los Angeles Times. The singer spoke of the collaboration as she was discussing her various influences. "I listen to Stevie Nicks. I love classical jazz. I love folk. I love rap. I love Modest Mouse. I'm making an album with Tame Impala and Mark Ronson," she said. The news follows a performance at Governor's Ball in which Parker and Ronson debuted an unreleased collaboration with SZA. At the time, Ronson told Stereogum that the song was "one of eight or so new songs he and the Tame Impala frontman have collaborated on, though the rest do not yet have vocalists attached." Parker and Ronson previously collaborated on three tracks from Ronson's 2015 album Uptown Special. SZA's level of involvement in the project is unclear, but at the very least, it seems she will be contributing to more than one song.

Later on in the interview, SZA explained her surprise at the attention earned from her confessional debut album Ctrl, released earlier this year. “Every moment, I’m shocked," she said. "It’s taught me a lesson on energy and expectation. The biggest songs on the album — ‘Love Galore,’ ‘The Weekend,’ ‘Supermodel,’ ‘Broken Clocks’ — are the easiest songs I’ve ever made. Just free-flowing energy, and not me resisting."

Since releasing Ctrl, SZA has collaborated with high profile pop acts Maroon 5 and Lorde. Earlier this year, Ctrl was certified gold by the RIAA, while "Love Galore," her Travis Scott-assisted hit, was certified platinum.

SZA has hinted at a Ctrl deluxe edition with bonus tracks to be released soon. She has also revealed that Solange will direct her upcoming video for "The Weekend."
