Anderson Cooper claims someone else was controlling his Twitter account.

For all those who thought CNN television personality Anderson Cooper blew a gasket on Twitter this morning in reaction to something Donald Trump said, think again.

TMZ is reporting that the newscaster claims his Twitter account was hacked and that he did not actually write the retaliation that ended with Cooper's verified handle calling the President a "pathetic loser." Check out a screengrab of the original tweet and Cooper's (hacked) response below.

The response came after Trump tweeted out the reason he originally supported Luther Strange, another candidate in the tight Alabama senate race that finally ended last night with Doug Jones, a democrat, coming out on top in the hearts of voters. He's the first left-leaning politician to accomplish such a feat in that state in over two decades. However, when it comes to Trump's flip-flopping, Cooper says the response from his Twitter handle was not his own.

"Just woke up to find out someone gained access to my twitter account," the TV host said after the fact. He added that he hadn't posted anything in the previous couple of days prior to that response and he and his team are currently digging to find out who was behind the hack. As of this writing, there's no indication that a culprit had either been identified or caught. I guess that really does mean that you can't believe everything that you read on the Internet.

Cooper's response, and all of the other media coverage of Trump, hasn't seemed to phase the President, who continues to chalk most of the words about him to "fake news."
