This weekend, Migos made their “Saturday Night Live” debut as musical guests on the latest iteration of the sketch comedy show. The episode, hosted by NBA retiree Charles Barkley, was topped off with performances of the crew’s “Stir Fry” and “Narcos” cuts, found on their most recent Culture II album. The project, host to a number of high profile features that include Travis Scott, Drake, Big Sean, Post Malone and Cardi B, made its debut at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 charts after pushing an impressive 1999,000 album-equivalent units within its first week last month.

While the project has not garnered the same critical success attained by its predecessor Culture of last year, the effort has still played a significant role in the cementing of Migos’ status as one of sustaining relevance. The lead single “MotorSport, featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, has since certified Gold in the United States, while the second single “Stir Fry” was pegged as the official song of the most recent NBA All-Star Weekend.

Of course, this isn’t Migos’ first appearance on late night. They made that crossover last year with their insanely successful Bad &Boujee on Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show,” and reprised that appearance in January of this year, first testing the waters with “Stir Fry” on that stage.

This season will mark an endless run for the trio as they are slated to induce their fair share of mosh pits at some of the year’s biggest music festivals, including Buku in New Orleans, JMBLYA in Texas, Minnesota’s Soundset, and Miami’s Rolling Loud.
