It had been years in the making, but Royce Da 5’9” & DJ Premier’s PRhyme 2 project is finally right around the corner. After hearing that it was done being recorded in November and rumors suggesting that it’s dropping March 16th, the two decided to officially kick off the album campaign Thursday morning by making the album available for pre-order on iTunes, ultimately sharing its artwork & release date in the process. And as we first reported, the sequel to PRhyme is indeed dropping March 16th.

To coincide with pre-order, Royce & Premier decided to also release the lead single with Dave East as well called “Era,” which you can listen to right here. Unfortunately that’s all we have at the moment as the two opted to not share the tracklist yet, but we can see that the album will consist of 17 songs in total.

Fans of Royce Da 5’9” will also be happy to hear that's not all the Detroit emcee has on the way either. Just last week, the Slaughterhouse member was spotted shooting some sort of mysterious video with J. Cole, which is presumed to be their unreleased collab from the Summer. No word yet as for when we’ll get to hear that or where it'll live on, but it’s definitely an added bonus knowing that's in the vault & on the way.

While we wait for further information to surface, check out the album cover for PRhyme 2 (below) and revisit the first PRhyme right here to hold you over in the meantime.
