Ye made a fan's day on the other side of the world.

These days, Kanye West is much more of an elusive and stand-offish figure. Of course, that can be attributed to his many public controversies, brands cutting ties with him, and a new chapter in his life. However, during an seemingly recent outing in Tokyo, it looks like he had fun chopping it up with a fan who saw him. Moreover, an artist by the name of KIZUKIOTANI posted a couple of pictures with the Chicago MC on Instagram, posing together and putting on some smiles. What's more is that the fan was apparently ready for the occasion, as he had a JESUS IS KING shirt on.

Furthermore, other posts on his IG page also show him rocking Ye's merch or wearing similar styles. Overall, whether it was planned or random, it seemed like quite the lucky and surreal moment. Given that he is also an artist, perhaps they were able to link up beyond just a quick conversation. However, a lot of fans were just happy to see Kanye West smile with someone despite all the drama.

Another big Yeezy fan recently mentioned him in his favorite albums list. However that's only notable because he's a fellow famous rapper. Jack Harlow named Late Registration as his favorite from the 46-year-old. In fact, it's the first album he named when asked for his top five albums on the Rap Radar podcast. Drake's Nothing Was The Same, Outkast's Aquemini, Jay-Z's The Blueprint, and The Cool Kids' When Fish Ride Bicycles or The Bake Sale also made the cut.

Meanwhile, another famous fan of Ye's is Drake, though their history is complicated. Still, reportedly the Canadian artist was very interested in narrating the "Off The Grid" MC's Netflix documentary. It didn't end up panning out, but considering their feuds, it would have been quite surreal. For more news and the latest updates on Kanye West, stay up to date on HNHH.

About The Author
Gabriel Bras Nevares is a music and pop culture news writer for HotNewHipHop. He started in 2022 as a weekend writer and, since joining the team full-time, has developed a strong knowledge in hip-hop news and releases. Whether it’s regular coverage or occasional interviews and album reviews, he continues to search for the most relevant news for his audience and find the best new releases in the genre. What excites him the most is finding pop culture stories of interest, as well as a deeper passion for the art form of hip-hop and its contemporary output. Specifically, Gabriel enjoys the fringes of rap music: the experimental, boundary-pushing, and raw alternatives to the mainstream sound. As a proud native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, he also stays up-to-date with the archipelago’s local scene and its biggest musical exponents in reggaetón, salsa, indie, and beyond. Before working at HotNewHipHop, Gabriel produced multiple short documentaries, artist interviews, venue spotlights, and audio podcasts on a variety of genres and musical figures. Hardcore punk and Go-go music defined much of his coverage during his time at the George Washington University in D.C. His favorite hip-hop artists working today are Tyler, The Creator, Boldy James, JPEGMAFIA, and Earl Sweatshirt.
