Leading By Example 21 Savage Basketball Camp

While many stars were celebrating Father's Day over the weekend, 21 Savage was in Atlanta hosting a basketball camp for kids. According to HipHopDX, his own organization the Leading by Example Foundation he hosted a camp for pre-teen-aged kids looking to hone their basketball skills. Alongside 21 Savage numerous NBA players like Nassir Little, Jay Scrubb, Kevon Harris, Flau'jae Johnson, and London Johnson were in attendance helping teach basketball mechanics to the kids. The event was hosted in the very same neighborhood where Savage grew up.

21 Savage had a treat for fans during a show over the weekend. He headlined Hot 107.9's birthday bash at State Farm Arena on Saturday. Fans were delighted when he brought out J. Cole to perform their hit song "a lot" together. The show is preceding 21 Savage and Drake's massive tour which starts at the end of this month. The 54 date stadium tour has drawn massive attention and already been expanded once since its original announcement.

21 Savage Is For The Kids

Yesterday 21 Savage added another plaque to his growing collection. His collaborative track "Surround Sound" with J.I.D and Baby Tate was certified platinum. Savage has appeared on a pair of singles as a featured artist so far in 2023. He guested on the Young Nudy song "Peaches & Eggplants" back in February and teamed up with Nudy again on the BabyDrill song "Slight Dub." He's also had one of the biggest hit songs of 2023 so far, "Creepin'" with The Weeknd & Metro Boomin'. He collaborated with Metro once again on his soundtrack for the Spiderman: Across The Spider-Verse movie.

This isn't even the only 21 Savage basketball story to emerge recently. Last week a video was posted to Instagram highlighting Savage's smooth looking jumper. In the video he splashes back-to-back deep threes much to the delight of everyone around him. The video sparked comments from other rappers and celebs praising Savage's ability. He's far from the first rapper to ever show off his skills on the court as well. What do you think of 21 Savage spending his Father's Day weekend hosting a kids basketball camp?
