Cardi B is motivated to "get back outside" following her Summer Jam performance.

Despite the speculation and mild drama that occurred after Summer Jam, Cardi B’s found a new sense of inspiration to release new music. It’s been over five years since her Grammy-winning debut album, Invasion Of Privacy hit DSPs and fans have been longing for her sophomore album. She’s unveiled a handful of singles in the past few years including “WAP” ft. Megan Thee Stallion and “Up” but she hasn’t really unveiled a ton of new music recently. Instead, she’s delivered a handful of guest features.

Most recently, she linked up with Latto for “Put It On The Floor Again,” which she performed during her headlining slot at Summer Jam 2023. However, it seems like the return to the Tri-State Area inspired her to release new music. Cardi delivered an impressive set that included appearances from 21 Savage, Dougie B and her Memphis cousin, GloRilla. Unfortunately, she didn’t debut any new music but it seems as though she’s ready to return to the booth.

Cardi B Thanks New York & Hints At New Music

Following her performance, Cardi B took to the ‘Gram with a photo recap from Summer Jam with both pictures from her performance and backstage. Kulture makes a few cameos (including one alongside Chrisean Rock) while other photos include the guests she brought on stage. However, Cardi penned a heartfelt message to her fans, thanking them for motivating her return to the booth. “NEW YORK thank you for showing me so much love! People had nasty things to say for weeks just for it to sell out and turn out amazing,” she began.

“I haven’t released music in a long time but this definitely motivated me to get back outside. Thank you to all artists who came out during my set and all of the other amazing artists on the line up… WE DID THAT!! Don’t pay attention to the negativity, when the hate don’t work they start telling lies. I’m on a high right now,” she said. At this point, we could only hope that she drops a new single for the summer. Check out Cardi B’s post above and sound off in the comments.
