It's always interesting to hear what the legends have to say about the new school. Many were surprised when Jay-Z included Playboi Carti's "Magnolia" on a playlist of songs that inspired his new album, 4:44. Similarly, who would've guessed that Nas is a fan of the rising XO rapper who goes by Nav? The illustrious Queens emcee recently told his Instagram followers to cop Nav's new album, Perfect Timing, which is a collaborative project with Metro Boomin. In the post, Nas referred to Nav and Metro as "young kings."
While Nav is still a newcomer, Metro has been an undeniable fixture over the past few years, producing for the majority of the game's top artists, including Future, Drake, and Kanye West. It would be hard for even the oldest of old heads to dismiss his success and how he has been able to garner more respect for the production side of hip-hop.
