WizKid recruits Future for his latest single.

WizKid has been dominating 2017 on his own terms. The Nigerian singer has put his own spin on AfroBeat and has been a driving force in bringing the West African sound to North America. Back in June, he released his appropriately titled major label debut Sounds From The Other Side. The album was met with favorable reviews. The project's tracklist featured several notable hip hop and R&B artists including Drake, Chris Brown and Ty Dolla $ign. Since it's release, he's continued pumping out loose singles and teasing new music. Today, he returns with "Everytime" featuring Future.

Over the whole summer, WizKid has been teasing new music with Future. Back in June, he posted a picture with Future on his Instagram and has since given his fans little snippets of the upcoming collaboration. While the wait was longer than expected, the collaboration doesn't disappoint. With production from Shizzi, the song features some sunny guitar riffs and a bass line provided by Salaam Remi. The drums stay in line with Afrobeat's signature timing, as well. While WizKid takes the lead on the verses, Future comes in for the pre-chorus and the hook before dropping off a few bars towards the end. It may be a different sound than we're used to from Future but he definitely makes sure he fits right in on "Everytime".

WizKid has teased the song over the past several months. In late August, he posted the single's artwork with the caption, "Plutooooo said drop dat shit tonight! @future !! FreebandzzZZ X Starboy forever!!! soon come!" While it definitely didn't arrive that night, he continued building the anticipation for the song. WizKid has been collaborating with some of the biggest artists this year and now he adds Future to that list.

Quotable Lyrics
