Nintendo’s newest console is very much on the way, and the biggest launch game – Super Mario Odyssey – also has a trailer out. The game sets Mario in a metropolitan city inspired by real-life locations, complete with normal-sized humans. People were already joking that the game should be called "Grand Theft Mario," and it didn’t take long for one YouTuber to mash-up Mario with the popular open-world city game Grand Theft Auto V.
Instead of happily leaping across skyscrapers, climbing light poles and jumping rope with pedestrians, the Italian plumber gets shot at, drowned and splattered by speeding cars. Not exactly how Nintendo would like to see their franchise star portrayed, but it’s pretty hilarious to see him steal a helicopter.
