Something had felt different about this particular Monday, as the workday was nearing its end, and there was no new Nipsey Hussle track to show for it. Alas, the Slauson Boy is here now, coming through with his weekly Marathon Monday drop a little later than usual. This one's worth the wait. "FUCC EM" features Philly veteran Freeway and Nip's fellow Crenshaw collaborator Cuzzy Capone, who's guested on two Marathon Monday tracks this year.
For those keeping tabs, Nip has dropped at least one new track every single Monday since the end of April. He compiled most of them into last month's Slauson Boy 2 mixtape, which also included the new track "Mercy." His productivity is unrivaled right now, especially as his long-awaited Victory Lap album will presumably be comprised of all new material.
"FUCC EM" is produced by the reliable West Coast duo of Mike & Keys, who have been behind just about every Marathon Monday track. Co-production comes from the elite Jake One (a frequent collaborator of Freeway's) and LA newcomer DJ Swish, a recent Behind The Beat subject who played a leading role in the making of YG's Still Brazy.
