According to Kodak Black's attorneys, their client shouldn't remain in jail for long. The Florida emcee was arrested for violating his probation earlier this week but on technicalities, not for a new crime.

Kodak, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was arrested Tuesday on allegations that he violated the conditions of his house arrest. He was spotted at a boxing match in Ohio -- walking out to the ring with Adrien Broner -- and at a strip club in Miami. The Sun Sentinel reports he also failed to complete his anger management program as mandated by the court.

Octave's lawyers argue that he was allowed to be at the boxing match and that the strip joint was a gig. The rapper is allowed to travel all over the country for work-related purposes. They say they will fight the anger management allegations in court.

Facing charges in two criminal cases that could have landed him in prison for over 50 years, Kodak agreed to a plea deal for five years of probation and one year of house arrest. The judge was lenient considering the artist's great potential.

His label, Atlantic Records released a statement.

"We are sorry to hear about the recent circumstances surrounding Kodak Black," the statement said. "His lawyers are working diligently on this matter and are hopeful that this will be resolved by next week. The remainder of Kodak Black’s Back and Better tour has been postponed. Details on rescheduled tour dates [are] forthcoming."
