Who could forget these bars from Nas' essential Illmatic cut "It Ain't Hard To Tell"? De La Soul borrows the title of their latest leak from the track, spilling their own vocabulary over a J Dilla instrumental. It'll be included on their upcoming project Smell The Da.I.S.Y. (Da Inner Soul of Yancy), which they've created in celebration of the life and legacy of the iconic beatsmith.
Smell The Da.I.S.Y. will be made available for free on Wednesday, March 26th via De La's official website. They're also working on two other projects, a mixtape with DJ Premier and Pete Rock titled Premiem Soul On The Rocks and an album titled You're Welcome.
