One time for Lil Chano from 79th.

Sunday night, after first appearing onstage to receive the distinction as Best New Artist, Chance The Rapper became the youngest recipient to date of the BET Awards' Humanitarian Award.

In a tribute clip to the Chicago emcee, Common, Jesse Williams, and even Michelle Obama appeared onscreen to wax poetic about the emcee's philanthropic efforts throughout Chicago and beyond.

"With these passionate efforts, chance is showing our young people that they matter," the former First Lady said."...Because of you countless young people will grow up believing in themselves."

"He's a shining example of where a lot of young people's hearts are," Common said of his fellow Chicago native.

"I'm 24 and to be receiving something like this at my age it feels a little early. But, my God doesn't make mistakes," Chance said as he received the award. "...I'm a good man and I want to become a better man."
