The scandal that is the Soulja Boy and Chris Brown beef is turning into that of a real life soap opera. But before we begin with today's episodic twist, we have to re-cap all the events from last episode of #SouljaBoyGate2017.
Yesterday, we were all alerted to the blooming beef between Chris Brown and King Soulja over an Instagram post on Karrueche Tran's profile. Then next thing we know, the two are sending shots back and forth at each other and somewhere along the way a boxing match had been organized. Next thing we know, Soulja Boy appears to be in the hood and robbed of his cell phone during a live stream. And in between all of this drama happening, the artist managed to drop visuals for his new single "I Got The Sauce." I think it is safe to say that Soulja was turnt yesterday.
However, today the rapper appeared to be very somber and subdued in a new Instagram video where he is seen issuing an apology to his fans. Soulja seems to have done a complete 180 concerning his demeanor, he starts off the video by saying "At the end of the day, It's not about who starts the beef it's about who end them, so with that being said, I found out that my moms in the hospital."
Soulja goes on to say that though the doctor has assured him his mother should make a full recovery, this situation has made him aware that he wants to make amends and wants to get back to the music. The following quote comes directly from the end of the video:
"No amount of money, no amount of cars, no amount of fame would make me be alright with knowing my mom sick or anything happening to my mom. I love my mother, she has always been there since I was born, I got her name tatted on my face, and I know she's not proud of my actions and what I been doing recently. I want to make music with Chris Brown, Yachty, Quavo everybody. So to all the media, to all the blogs, to all my homies from the hood who feel like I been on some hot boy shit, I apologize I'm back to the music. Big Soulja."
Let's hope that Soulja Boy really takes this apology seriously and puts forth effort to right his wrongs, but even more so, let's pray for him and his mother.
