An employee of the Hyde club in LA claims that he was punched in the face by Lil Wayne while working the "ColleGrove" rapper's after-party.

After last night's BET Awards, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz hosted a ColleGrove after-party at the Hyde nightclub on Sunset Blvd. in LA. A man who says he was working the door at the party now reports to TMZ that Wayne punched him in the face last night. He apparently went to the hospital after getting hit, and he has now filed a battery report with the LAPD.

The bouncer claims that Wayne got violent after he had refused to let several members of his crew into the club. A heated argument had ensued before Wayne decided to start throwing fists.

Sources within Wayne's camp have responded to the story and told TMZ that Wayne denies ever punching the bouncer. They also say that the accuser wasn't at the door last night but, instead, was working in Wayne's VIP section. Wayne and this particular Hyde employee did have a run-in, but only because the man had mistakenly grabbed Wayne's arm, not realizing whom it was he had intended to confront. The man reportedly apologized soon thereafter.

Police are currently looking into the battery report, and they would like to talk to Wayne. Each side seems to have a conflicting story, but TMZ maintains that Wayne "could be looking at a misdemeanor battery." Though the club staffer went to the hospital, his injuries are reportedly "minor."
