The 2015 MTV VMAs got off to a rocky start, when Nicki Minaj dragged the annual music video awards through the mud for their lack of "Anaconda" in their Video of the Year nominations.
Things are looking up though, as MTV has announced that The Weeknd will perform during the event. The singer will be releasing his highly anticipated album, Beauty Behind the Madness, two days prior to the awards show (August 28th). On August 30th, he'll perform one of his lead singles, "I Can’t Feel My Face," for the MTV VMAs audience. Tom Cruise (randomly enough) shared news of The Weeknd's performance on twitter today.
The MTV VMAs is set to air live from the Microsoft theatre in L.A. at 9 PM EST on Sunday August 30th. Today the r'n'b singer shared the tracklist for BBTM, check that out here.
