Chris Brown left the French police station without any charges, prompting him to create shirts that read, "That Bitch Lyin," in response to the woman accusing him of rape. However, she's adamant that the singer did indeed assault her and isn't going to let his departure from France stop police into investigating her claims.
Franck Serfarti, who represents the 23-year-old woman who came forward with allegations that Brown and two of his associates raped her, spoke to the Blast about the ongoing investigation. “The departure of [Chris Brown] from France, and the other two people implicated, does not affect the continuation of the police investigation, which will continue despite their physical absence," he said.
Serfati said that prosecutors can open a judicial inquiry into the allegations that Chris Brown and his two friends raped and physically assaulted the woman.
The woman previously stated in an interview that the singer was "brutal and violent. He was threatening and aggressive. I was very afraid.”
Brown's maintained his innocence since the allegations first emerged. Brown's lawyer said the singer “vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the Public Prosecutor of Paris.”
After he was released from prison, Breezy took to social media to proclaim his innocence, stating, “I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR…… THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP!”
