It's been over four months since the untimely passing of Mac Miller. The rapper, whose album Swimming earned him his first Grammy nomination, would've celebrated his 27th birthday on Saturday. His mother took to Instagram on his birthday to share the original announcement of his birth.

"Our son Miller is very excited about the birth of his little brother Malcolm James, who was born at eight forty six a.m. on January nineteenth and weighed in at exactly eight pounds. And so are we! He's a real 'sweetie," reads the letter Mac Miller's mother, Karen Meyers, shared on Instagram. The first picture in the post featured a drawing of two M&M's.

Mac Miller's mother has been at the forefront of the rapper's charitable organization, The Mac Miller's Circle Fund, which helps underserving youth in Pittsburgh by"helping them recognize their full potential through exploration in the arts and community building."

Mac Miller's mother and his father recently revealed that they will be attending the GRAMMY Awards this year in his honor and will accept the award on his behalf if he wins. Mac's latest album Swimming was nominated for Best Rap Album alongside Pusha T's Daytona, Nipsey Hussle's Victory Lap, Cardi B's Invasion Of Privacy, and Travis Scott's Astroworld
