Be careful who you hire.

It was thought that when Mariah Carey and her former manager, Stella Bulochnikov, had reached a settlement in the latter's lawsuit against the singer, it would be the last we'd heard of these two together. However, the pop icon is back in the news with Bulochnikov now that they're both involved in another court case, this time also with Carey's former assistant, Lianna Shakhnazaryan.

Carey is suing Shakhnazaryan for $3 million, stating that the woman posed as a professional but “turned out to be a grifter, a Peeping (Tom)asina and an extortionist.” According to The BlastCarey says that her ex-assistant took intimate photos of the star without her knowledge and later threatened to go public with them if Carey didn't cough up $8 million.

In turn, Shakhnazaryan sued Carey and Bulochnikov with a lawsuit of her own, accusing them of wrongful termination, whistleblower retaliation, and harassment. Shakhnazaryan's lawyer told  The Blast, “These baseless allegations are an attempt to attack my client’s character and deflect attention away from a workplace harassment and wrongful termination lawsuit she filed today against her former employer, Mariah Carey. My client never did anything she wasn’t specifically asked to do while working in the course and scope of her job as a personal assistant.”

As this latest legal battle is tapping at Carey's front door, the singer has been subpoenaed by Bulochnikov's team, requesting Carey's private medical records from two of her doctors. It's reported that Bulochnikov is hoping that the records will show evidence that the singer has been abusing drugs and alcohol. Carey allegedly believes this is a tactic to further humiliate her.

“Bulochnikov, a former trusted manager of Mariah, has doggedly sought to draw Mariah into a legally meritless fight in an outrageous attempt to harass and embarrass Mariah, to violate Mariah’s privacy and to use Mariah’s confidential information concerning her health to leverage a favorable settlement. Bulochnikov’s tactics are violative," documents state. Mariah is demanding the court sanction Stella to the tune of $10,215.
