"Barter 7" is apparently arriving "in moments."

If there was ever a day to announce this, today was it. We've officially been granted with the release of Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V and it has consumed much of our time since midnight. With so much news surrounding the once eternally-delayed project, it's hard to keep track of everything else happening in the world. Just a few moments ago, it was reported that Birdman and Young Thug are being criminally investigated for their involvement in Lil Wayne's tour bus shooting from 2015, which Thug has not commented on. However, he has made a major announcement regarding his upcoming work and it looks like we may be receiving another new project from the Atlanta rapper soon.

In the last few weeks, we've received Slime Language and On The Rvn but it looks as though Thugger isn't done. He officially announced his plans to follow up one of his best albums to date, Barter 6. And according to his most recent tweet, it could be arriving at any moment.

Thug and release dates don't necessarily go hand in hand so we would prefer not to get too ahead of ourselves. When he says "Barter 7 in moments," he could very well mean that the project is dropping next year. He may also be saying that it's currently in the process of being uploaded to streaming services. It's hard to tell considering most of his release date announcements have been sketchy. Regardless of when it arrives, it looks like Thug was inspired by today's releases and wants some of the shine to himself.

The artist was rumored to be working on Barter 7 last year. Do you think he can successfully follow up the stellar Barter 6?
