Pete Davidson, sometimes known as Ariana Grande's fiancée, is set to have his first starring role in "Big Time Adolescence."

Pete Davidson, cast member of SNL and recent fiancée of Ariana Grande, has been announced as the star of the new feature-length film Big Time Adolescence. He will act alongside the rapper Machine Gun Kelly, Sydney Sweeney, Oona Lawrence, Griffin Gluck, Thomas Barbusca and Emily Arlook.

The screenplay for the film, written by first-timer Jason Orley (who is also directing the project), was on the 2014 Black List, a lineup of "favorite scripts" from a given year "that had not been made as feature films" based on a voter pool of "500 film executives." Orley shared the list with many notable films, including the oscar-winner Manchester By The Sea.

Although Davidson is known for acting on SNL, doing stand-up shows like Jimmy Kimmel and even participating in the Comedy Central Roasts of Justin Bieber and Rob Lowe, he has become most famous recently for his engagement to one of the biggest pop stars on earth: Ariana Grande. On top of the engagement, Grande released snippets of an interlude called "Pete" from her forthcoming album. Grande and Davidson have received criticism from fans for the relationship, a level of personal scrutiny that Davidson, or most comedians, has yet to be subject to. Grande defended the dedication in a tweet, saying "i been the fuck thru it and life’s too short to be cryptic n shit about something as beautiful as this love I’m in. so ǝʇǝԀ it is."

Big Time Adolescence is set to begin filming in July with a release date unset as of yet. Ariane Grande's album, Sweetener, is set to release on August 17th. For now, listen to Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj on "The Light is Coming"
