The loss of Mac Miller continues to be felt throughout the hip-hop community. It's rare to see such a unanimous outpouring of love for an artist, and rappers have been vocal in paying homage to the Pittsburgh young icon. From the close homie ScHoolboy Q to former girlfriend Ariana Grande, Mac's passing has clearly had a profound impact on those he came to know. One such figure was Anderson .Paak, who previously linked with Miller for Divine Feminine single "Dang!" Today, Andy posted a tearjerker to Instagram, paying homage to the friend he lost.
"Almost tried to text you today," writes Anderson, alongside a picture of the two having a laugh. "I miss my bro." Simple, but poignant. We'd like to extend our thoughts to Anderson .Paak, and anyone saddened by the loss of Mac Miller. Hopefully .Paak can keep his head up, and who knows. We may ultimately find the Aftermath rapper paying homage to Miller on his upcoming Oxnard album.
