Kanye West has been more open than ever about his struggles with mental health within the past year. In early June, the rapper opened up about his struggles with bipolar disorder which he spoke about further in his latest album, Ye. The rapper was set to sit down with Charlamagne Tha God this week for a New York Times' TimesTalk about mental health. However, Charlamagne Tha God announced today that the event won't be happening anymore.

Kanye West and Charlamagne Tha God's TimesTalk about mental health has been canceled due to 'Ye's recent controversies. The Breakfast Club talk show announced revealed the news on Instagram.

"Normalizing being mentally healthy is a conversation that I really wanted to have with Kanye because he's been so vocal about his own mental health struggles. Unfortunately I think to have that conversation with him right now would not be productive and a total distraction from the point of the convo which is to eradicate the stigma of mental health especially in the black community." Charlamagne Tha God wrote on Instagram.

Kanye West has stirred up a whole lot of controversies in the past few weeks. The rapper met with Donald Trump in the Oval Office while proudly rocking his "MAGA" hat last week. He also went on a pro-Trump rant during Saturday Night Live a few weeks before where he claimed he was being "bullied" into not wearing his "MAGA" hat.
