There may have been a discrepancy in the initial reports.

Travis Scott spent most of yesterday celebrating his success on the Billboard charts. Astroworld may have been released months ago but it reclaimed the top spot on the albums chart, coinciding with the No. 1 success of "Sicko Mode." Originally, it was believed that a neck-and-neck battle between Astroworld and 6ix9ine's DUMMY BOY would be taking place for Billboard supremacy. Although Tekashi's album only counted for two and a half days of sales this week, he was still on pace to tie La Flame. According to a new report by Nielsen, 6ix9ine may have actually been the rightful leader on the chart.

Complex is noting that a discrepancy in the initial reports may have altered the actual positioning of this week's Billboard chart. After noticing that there was an error in the sales count, a representative for Nielsen reportedly told Hits Daily Double that DUMMY BOY actually should have been the No. 1 album of the week.

"Our team has done a deep dive and found the cause of the initial discrepancy," said Drew Bennett at Nielsen, the firm Billboard gets most of their information from. We've since then reprocessed the jobs necessary and re-finalized the charts. As a result, 6ix9ine's DUMMY BOY will be moving to #1... Our team is working quickly to identify the root cause of this discrepancy to ensure that we get it right the first time."

Neither Travis Scott, 6ix9ine's remaining team members, or Billboard have commented yet. As the story develops, we will update you accordingly.
