It doesn't get much more legendary than Snoop Dogg. Biggie Smalls once rapped "I'm sittin' in the crib dreamin' about Lear jets and coupes/ The way Salt shoops and how they sell records like Snoop." The hip-hop veteran sat down with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club this morning, and touched on a number of topics, including his well-publicized issues with Kanye West's recent comments.
DJ Envy began by admiring Snoop for a post he published on social media where he speaks about how having a strong woman in your life is key. Envy then segues to Kanye West, and asks about how his marriage may influence his views. "I hate to be black and white," begins Snoop while Charlamagne encourages him. "There's no black women in his life. Let's just keep that 100. I got aunties that'll put up with those big 'ol church hats on, 'n***a what's happening? what you on?,'" explains Snoop. "It got to a point where it was funny, then it got sad," continued Snoop. Yee then brought up the fact that West lost his mother, the most important influence in his life. "That's when I started to think that, how she was instrumental in his life," admits Snoop. "Remember the music that he was making when she was here, and the spirit that he had? That's gone now, if you never lost your mother, you don't understand that feeling."
