Long Beach icon Snoop Dogg is reportedly developing his own biopic, and he tells Big Boy how MJ's movie has motivated him.

For years, there has been talk of Snoop Dogg producing his own biopic. Those old enough to have tracked the Long Beach icon's career from its mainstream inception want a movie about the behind-the-scenes ins and outs. As Snoop continues to develop that idea, he sat down with Big Boy's Neighborhood to chat about how the recent Michael Jackson biopic has "inspired" him with his own release.

"When I seen the Michael Jackson movie, that was inspiring," said Snoop. "Very inspiring, because it was great storytelling. The acting, the believability, and the nephew becoming Mike. Just, performances. All of that sh*t. It just was exciting to see. I put a spark in me."

Snoop Wants To Look At Himself Objectively

Further, Snoop revealed that he was able to view the film before it was released to the world. Big Boy added that he, too, saw the movie in a private screening and thought it was incredible. He asked Snoop whether that got his mental wheels turning, seeing a production like Jackson's. "It gets you into a mode of storytelling. You look at the storytelling, you look at the characters, and you look at how much you know, and how much you didn't know."

Big Boy also wanted to know if it was going to be strange for Snoop to watch a movie about his own life story. "I mean, I never looked at my highlights, so I don't really know what my life was," the rapper replied. "I'm living life. So, if I see something, I hear it, I'm amused by it. Because it's like, 'Damn. I did that? That was me?' 'Cause I don't watch me. I'm too busy doing me."
