The project is still without a proper release date.

Noname's long-awaited sophomore album will arrive in September, the Chicago rapper has revealed in a tweet sent Tuesday night. It has been two years since her debut project Telefone earned critical acclaim upon release. The emcee announced the title of her follow-up in July 2017. It is unclear how long she has been working on new material. Earlier in 2017, she had suggested that she would not be releasing music for a "long time."

On top of her album, Noname has recorded a number of guest appearances on other artists' tracks over the last few years. She appeared on Smino's "Amphetamine" last summer, and was also featured on Chance The Rapper's "Lost," which he called the "best guest verse that I got from somebody" on the project. Seeing that Coloring Book also featured Future, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, and more, that is certainly high praise. She would later appear on SNL to perform her guest verse alongside Chance.

Room 25 does not yet have an official release date. Here's hoping that we get a single from Noname in the near future. If not, we won't have too long a wait until we get another project from the rapper.

In the meantime, revisit Telefone, which features Raury, Ravyn Lenae, Saba, Smino, and more, here.
