Your favourite roster of superheroes will return for future projects.

The upcoming Avengers 4 is being described as the end of the current era of the beloved MCU franchise, and the beginning of something new. Disney's CEO Bob Iger confirms that the upcoming cinematic epic will not cap off the series that has legions of fans worldwide and the box-office receipts to prove it.

Igers recently teased what's in store for the Avengers following Thanos' destructive reign of terror throughout the universe. "We meet on a regular basis with our Marvel team, and we’ve plotted out Marvel movies that will take us well into the next decade. I’m guessing we will try our hand at what I’ll call a new franchise beyond Avengers, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t see more Avengers down the road. We just haven’t made any announcements about that."

Igers continues to note how Infinity War came as a conclusion to a narrative arc that commenced in the first Iron Man film from 2008 despite it being released a decade afterwards. "Given the popularity of the characters and given the popularity of the franchise, I don’t think people should conclude there will never be another Avengers movie."
