Zimmerman is experiencing some legal woes.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office released a statement on Monday revealing how George Zimmerman received a criminal summons for stalking. This came as a result of Zimmerman being accused of harassing and threatening a man named Dennis Warren on multiple occasions throughout December 16-25, 2017.

Warren is a private investigator who was hired by a production company that was working with Jay-Z to create a docu-series that detailed the life and tragic death of Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed by Zimmerman back in 2012. The gunman was eventually acquitted of his second-degree murder charge a year later, much to the general public's vociferous dismay.

Warren revealed to police that he had contacted Zimmerman to see if he would be interested in being featured in the project. Zimmerman reportedly called the investigator 55 times, as well as leaving 36 voicemails. He also sent Warren 37 emails, alongside another 67 text messages throughout the aforementioned timeframe. Zimmerman allegedly told Warren that he knows "how to handle people who fuck with me, I have been since February 2012." Furthermore, he proclaimed that "anyone who fucks with my parents will be fed to an alligator."

Police note how the threats are directly related to Zimmerman's family members being asked if they would participate in the forthcoming documentary.

Zimmerman's arraignment will commence on May 30.
