Jack In The Box and Carls Jr. fast-food restaurant signs glow July 24, 2008 on the Figueroa Street Corridor of South Los Angeles area of Los Angeles, California. The Los Angeles City Council committee has unanimously approved year-long moratorium on new fast-food restaurants in a 32-square-mile area, mostly in South Los Angeles, pending approval by the full council and the signature of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to make it the law. South LA has the highest concentration of fast-food restaurants of the city, about 400, and only a few grocery stores. L.A. Councilwoman Jan Perry proposed the measure to try to reduce health problems associated with a diet high in fast-food, like obesity and diabetes, which plague many of the half-million people living there.

Jack In The Box are celebrating California's recreational marijuana use law in a major way.

California is known for a lot of things but they've definitely turned themselves into a marijuana capital of the world. For a while, the use of marijuana was strictly for patients with medicinal cards but come Monday, marijuana will be available to purchase for recreational use. With that being said, fast food restaurant, Jack In The Box, is gearing to celebrate the full legalization with their customers with a brand new boxed deal.

Snoop Dogg's Merry Jane website and Jack In The Box  have teamed up to launch a limited time "Merry Munchie Meal" in January in celebration of the legalization of recreational marijuana use. The boxed deal will include two tacos, five mini churros, three chicken strips and a drink as well as a box of half curly fries and half onion rings. To top it off, the boxed meal will only cost you $4.20.

The box will be co-branded with Snoop Dogg's Merry Jane website with their marijuana leaf logo on the box. The meal will only be available in three locations in Long Beach, CA, Snoop Dogg's hometown, from January 18th to the 25th. If this goes well, there's a good chance this is just the beginning of a budding relationship between the fast food joint and the website.

Jack In The Box has a history of catering to their stoner demographic. They've previously launched their "Munchie Meals" in their late-night menu and they've had commercials with blatant references to stoner culture including their Two Tacos for 99 cents deal.
