The new version of alt-j's "In Cold Blood" came as a surprise and was very well received by fans. The Brittish group enlisted Twin Shadow to rework the track in addition to having Pusha T flex on vocals. We've seen this collaborative effort live on television already, and now, we get to experience the effort through an original visual treatment.
The music video comes in the form of an animation. It's a kind of psychedelic trip that borrows from the aesthetics of older 3D games and a colorful representation of what "The Matrix" might look like. Pusha T travels the space as an avatar but also appears in his natural form through projections. The video invites fans of the song into a whole new visual world.
This track is part of the leadup to alt-j's next project. They will be releasing REDUXER, a revamped version of their third studio album, RELAXER, which dropped last summer.
