Drake may not actually respond to Pusha T's scathing diss track "The Spirit Of Adidon," at least not if he's taking the advice of J. Prince. The Rap-A-Lot Records CEO who has often come to Drake's defense in times of conflict, says he advised the Toronto rapper to opt out of his beef with Pusha following the release of "Adidon."

In an interview with Fadam Got da Juice and DJ Reddz of DTLR Radio Saturday, Prince explained his reasoning for wanting to take the high road. "A man to attack a man's mother, father, a man who's dying -- I feel that's disrespectful," he said. "If you wanna leave it on a level playing field -- I get at you, you get at me, then bring it on, let the best man win. Imagine we got into a fight and I go whip your momma ass, I hit your daddy in the jaw... I call it a pigpen mentality."
Prince then revealed that he had spoken to Drake on the phone about it. "I made an OG call to Drake this morning tellin' him 'I don't want you to respond to this'," he said. "We gon' put this to bed because we can't get in the pigpen with pigs, because pigs turn into hogs and then hogs get slaughtered. We didn't work this hard to get slaughtered over nothin'."
Prince did not elaborate on whether Drake agreed to lay the beef to rest.
J. Prince and Drake have known each other since Prince's son Jas Prince discovered the rapper on Myspace in 2007 and signed him to Aspire Music Group before he cut a deal to move to Cash Money. J. Prince was listed as an executive producer on both Thank Me Later and Nothing Was The Same.
