Fresh off his features on tracks by Comethazine, Phresher, and Young Preach, Famous Dex returns with a brand new song of his own. Throughout the week, Dexter has been teasing the release of "Gun Fight," urging his fans to interact with his social posts to ensure he has a large enough audience to drop the track. Gathering over 174K views for the video in 24 hours, Dex still very much has a following. His most recent Dex Meets Dexter album showed what he could do on a full-length these days and now, the rapper is back to proving himself through loosies and singles.
Finally receiving enough comments and likes on his posts, Dex dropped the "Gun Fight" music video through Worldstar, using their audience to his advantage. The track begins when a woman is heard over the phone but, as most SoundCloud rappers do, Dex is holding a gun to his ear instead of the actual cellular device. Sounding a little scared, the artist asks his friend if she would rob a bank for him, to which she replies "yes" before the song starts. As expected, "Gun Fight" is full of Dex's classic ad-libs with his mumbled flow coming through. Stunting with a wide array of guns and a handful of cash, Dex's new song and video look to get him back in the driver's seat after the success of "Japan."
