It's the rapper's eighth consecutive debut at No. 1.

Eminem's Revival has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, moving a total of 267,000 equivalent album units, reports Billboard. 197,000 of that figure can be attributed to pure album sales. This is Eminem's eighth consecutive debut at No. 1 on the albums chart. His only proper studio album not to do so was 1999's The Slim Shady LP, which debuted at No. 2. Revival is the follow-up to 2013's The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which moved 792,000 in pure sales its first week. Em's latest has earned the third highest hip-hop sales week of the year, both in album equivalent units and pure sales, behind Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. (603,000 units; 353,000 pure sales) and Drake's More Life (505,000 units; 225,000 pure sales).

All 9 of his studio albums have debuted within the top ten. The Inspiration (2006), The Recession (2008) and Trap or Die 3 (2016) each debuted at No. 1.

It has not been reported where N.E.R.D.'s No_One Really Dies has debuted at this time. It has fallen short of the top ten.

Eminem has experienced immense sales throughout his career. In 2010, his album Recovery sold 741,000 copies in its first week. 2009's Relapse sold 608,000 first week. In 2000, The Marshall Mathers LP became the fastest-selling studio album by any solo artist in American music at the time, moving 1.78 million copies with its debut on the charts.
