Mother-daughter time is the foundation of the future. Blue Ivy and Beyonce recently decided to leave Jay-Z on babysitting duties, letting the Carter patriarch tend to Sir and Rumi while they opted for a girls-night-out. While the Jigga Man was busy finessing the dad skills, Beyonce and Blue Ivy were enjoying some quality time courtside at the NBA All-Star game. Naturally the pair were photographed at length, but that didn't stop the Carters from snapping a few selfies before, during, and after the game. One has to wonder their reaction to Fergie's now-infamous rendition of the National Anthem; it stands to reason that Blue Ivy attempted to shush the Black Eyed Peas singer, to no avail.

Grandma Tina Knowles was also in the mix, hitting the game along with her boyfriend Richard Lawson. The family looked dressed to the nines, with Blue Ivy channeling Negan from Walking Dead while Beyonce opted for an eye-catching yellow dress. At some point, Blue Ivy found herself in possession of a basketball, which can only mean one thing: even the game's best players understand that they need to pay homage while in her presence.

Despite the fact that she's merely a child, Blue Ivy seems destined for a life of eternal stardom. Whether she purses her mumble rap career as teased on "Blue's Freestyle" or not, it wouldn't be surprising to see her eventually emerge as a force in the creative arts. For now, it's nice to see the Carter family out there living life to the fullest. Swipe through the gallery above for a look at the pics.
