Flyysoulja of the internet duo Island Boys is currently in a Miami trauma unit following an overdose, according to TMZ. The influencer told the outlet that he overdosed on a mix of different narcotics. These drugs include cocaine, benzodiazepines, and Percocet.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, October 29. He says it all happened during a celebration. The celebration was sparked by Flyysoulja, real name Alex Venegas, purchasing himself a new car and a new condo.
Venegas claims that he was hit with the Baker Act. This means he had to undergo an involuntary mental health evaluation. It is something that he went through before, back in November of 2025.
Flyysoulja Recovers In Hospital
Flyysoulja has been forthcoming about his struggles with drug addiction. He states that, prior to this incident, he had been clean for some time. Furthermore, following his first experience with the Baker Act last year, he went to rehab in January of 2026.
Ultimately, this is an extremely unfortunate situation. You never want to see someone go through this kind of thing. At the end of the day, addiction can be incredibly difficult to break, and those who struggle must be treated with grace and care.
Since being placed on a mental health hold, Flyysoulja has been released. In fact, his release came earlier today, which allowed him to tell his story to TMZ.
