After a contentious breakup and years of legal disagreements, DaBaby and DaniLeigh have reached an agreement concerning their daughter.

The custody dispute between DaBaby and DaniLeigh has ended with a settlement covering their five-year-old daughter, Velour Babyleigh Kirk. More than two years after the singer took the matter to court, the former couple has reached an agreement requiring DaBaby to pay child support each month. However, the amount he'll be paying hasn't been disclosed.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the two signed a 13-page agreement addressing custody and financial support. The legal dispute began in 2024 when DaniLeigh filed a paternity case, identifying herself as Velour's primary caregiver and requesting monthly support payments.

DaBaby challenged her account of their parenting responsibilities, maintaining that he'd been actively involved in their daughter's life since birth. He also asked the court to legally establish his paternity and award joint custody. Although the former couple has now reached an agreement, they haven't made the specific custody arrangements public.

DaBaby And DaniLeigh's Custody Settlement Follows Contentious Split

The agreement comes nearly five years after their relationship ended in a confrontation that played out publicly on Instagram Live. In November 2021, an argument between the two escalated when DaBaby called police to his Charlotte home while DaniLeigh was caring for their infant daughter. Police subsequently charged the singer with two counts of simple assault after DaBaby accused her of attacking him.

Their relationship continued generating headlines after the breakup, particularly when DaniLeigh's brother, Brandon Bills, became involved in a physical altercation with DaBaby at a Los Angeles bowling alley in 2022. Bills later sued the rapper, and that separate civil case was settled in June 2026.

Despite their history, both artists have continued showing up for important moments in their daughter's life. In September, they attended the Rookie Kids Runway on Broadway event at Macy's Herald Square in New York, where Velour participated in the fashion showcase. As previously documented, the two parents posed separately with their daughter rather than taking photographs together.
