YG and Ty Dolla $ign are taking it way back. "Relax (2009)" is now on streaming, and the title tells you everything: this is an older record, not a brand-new collab. For longtime fans, the name should ring a bell. "Relax" with Ty Dolla $ign appeared on YG's 2009 mixtape The Real 4Fingaz, years before My Krazy Life made him a West Coast fixture and long before Ty became one of the most in-demand hook singers in the game. Seeing it hit DSPs officially is a nice memory as to how far back these two go, since their run together includes everything from mixtape days to "Toot It and Boot It." The timing lines up with a busy 2026 for YG, who already put out THE GENTLEMEN'S CLUB this year, along with singles like "So Real," "MID LIFE CRISIS," "OMG" and "SIMON SAYS," plus a VERZUZ battle with The Game.
