Meek Mill and G Herbo are joining forces again on “Wanna Be Free,” a new single that Meek Mill surprise announced. The collaboration brings together two rappers whose music has often reflected the pressure and determination that come with navigating life on their own terms. The pair previously connected on 2025's “Survivor’s Guilt,” which received a positive reaction from fans. The timing also gives the release added context for G Herbo. Earlier this month, he spoke about possibly stepping away from the music industry. So, “Wanna Be Free” arrives while fans are still wondering what his next chapter could look like.
For now, the title and the pairing are enough to put the track on listeners’ radar. Meek and Herbo have both built careers in their respective careers, and their previous collaboration gives this reunion some history.

Quotable Lyrics
Yeah, I got caught up
Never leave your n**gas, that's the way that I was brought up
Finger on the trigger, a n**ga play, he gettin' tore up
Then he can't take the pain, he gotta pour up
Got n**gas askin' what I did for n**gas, I'm tryna figure what they bought us
