Diddy has had his prison release date change on numerous occasions at this point. In fact, prior to last night, the mogul's release date had been altered a total of eight times. Now, make it nine.
According to TMZ, Diddy was supposed to be released on January 21, 2028. However, the date has now been pushed all the way back to March 2, 2028. This is a five-week extension, and it comes amidst a bombshell report from NBC that Diddy was smuggling contraband into FCI Fort Dix.
The report suggested that Diddy was throwing his money around to keep a luxurious lifestyle intact. He reportedly had a cellphone in prison and was even receiving photos from a girlfriend. Furthermore, it was stated that the mogul was paying for massages, and was even having inmates cook for him.
Diddy's Prison Stay Extended
It was subsequently reported that Diddy was sent to solitary confinement in the aftermath of this report. Just a week later, the mogul has also been hit with a release date delay. While it is unclear whether or not the two things are related, it is clear that the prison system continues to change things around.
Following his fight with another inmate, which also landed him in solitary, Diddy's release date was pushed back. However, just a few weeks later, it was moved up.
His release date continues to yo-yo. In a few months from now, it could come back down again. Regardless of all these changes, it seems pretty clear that Diddy will be home in early 2028.
Only time will tell whether or not hip-hop welcomes him back with open arms.
