Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in prison following his conviction on two counts of transporting prostitutes across state lines for sex. He was facing decades in prison if convicted on the racketeering and sex trafficking charges. However, he was eventually acquitted by a jury.
Since that time, Diddy has been spending his sentence in FCI Fort Dix. He has mostly displayed good behavior. He went into a rehabilitation program and has also helped the inmates with education. A few months ago, he did end up in solitary confinement after an alleged physical altercation with a fellow inmate.
During these last few months, Diddy's prison release date has been changed over and over again. Typically, he gets time shaved off, and that happened again on Tuesday. According to TMZ, the mogul's release date has been changed from February 5, 2028 to January 21, 2028.
Diddy's Sentence Lowered
This means Diddy only has 15 months left on his sentence. Of course, if he continues to display good behavior, that sentence could be lowered even further. When he was first put in prison, his release date was set for April of 2028. In just a short time, he has had three months completely shaved off.
Things can change on a dime when it comes to these matters, so there is really no telling if January 21 will be Diddy's official date. Given all the changes, one can imagine another change might be coming soon.
