The Eminem x Air Jordan 4 "Encore" has reportedly been pulled from Jordan Brand's 2027 lineup, leaving its future unclear.

The Eminem x Air Jordan 4 "Encore" no longer appears on Jordan Brand's Summer 2027 lineup, and it's tough news for anyone who's been counting down to May.

The long-rumored retail release has reportedly been removed from the calendar entirely, it had the style code JJ3098-400. Right now it's unclear whether this means a delay or a full cancellation, and that uncertainty makes the situation even harder to sit with.

Further adding to the doubt, Eminem's manager Paul Rosenberg responded with a simple "Nope" when asked about the reported release. Not exactly a reassuring sign for anyone hoping this still happens.

The pair was set to drop May 15th for $230, dressed in Blue Ribbon, Game Purple, Stealth, and Black. Blue leather was covering the upper, translucent wing eyelets were part of the build, and Eminem branding was tucked behind the tongue as expected.

Purple was also set to replace the original's red detailing on the Jumpman branding. None of that matters much right now if this pair doesn't actually make it to retail.

This setback stings more than a typical pulled release. The "Encore" has carried grail status for two decades, and 2027 really felt like the year everyday fans would finally get a real shot at owning one.

Building excitement around a release like this, only to watch it vanish from the calendar, is a familiar and frustrating feeling for longtime sneakerheads. It's happened before with other high-profile drops, and it never gets easier.

Nothing has been confirmed as dead just yet, and release calendars can still shift before anything is truly finalized. Even so, it's worth tempering expectations until more concrete details emerge.

For now, the "Encore" goes back into the same uncertain territory it's occupied for years. Whether that changes down the line remains anyone's guess, but this latest update certainly doesn't inspire much confidence. Stay tuned, of course, as things could always change in the future.
