Three different corners of hip-hop history collide as Rakim, Kurupt, and Masta Killa join forces for THE GODBODY. The collaborative album connects Rakim's golden-era legacy with Kurupt's West Coast roots and Masta Killa's Wu-Tang background. The trio already previewed the project with “DPG-Wu-Tang, Wu-Tang-DPG,” followed by “Rock Ya Body,” which brings Daz Dillinger, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon into the mix.
The guest list only adds to the cross-generational feel, with Snoop Dogg, KRS-One, Kool G Rap, Kokane, Buckshot, and others appearing throughout the album. It's rare to see this many veteran voices brought together on one project without it simply being a compilation. THE GODBODY instead feels like an intentional bridge between different regions and eras of rap.
